The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the party enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to Timmony in search of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Explorers and Planners parties.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
